Ibizarre Records was founded in 1997 by Lenny Ibizarre and Eva Pacifico. Based in the north of Ibiza near Benirras Beach the label became internationally renowned for its Ambient Grooves and Chill-Out Compilations encapsulating the Balearic spirit of the traditional Ibiza.
Since its foundation Ibizarre Records has produced and released a wide array of Balearic tracks. Its Ambient Collection set an international standard for which the label became known and led to it being co-released by Warner UK.
Music from Ibizarre Records can be found amongst most prolific Chill Out Compilations such as Café Del Mar, Chilled Ibiza and Blue Bar to name but a few as well as gracing several movie soundtracks.
Philosophy
Can Chill is the home of Ibizarre and it exudes the very essence that built the collective. Nestled in the northern hills of Ibiza and surrounded by acres of his own biological fruit plantations and dreamlike horizons, it is easy to see where the inspiration for all this music comes from. Can Chill holds over 6 studios all belonging to the resident artists, whose constant interaction sets the mood for creative days and nights. Ibizarre is home-grown, all the way, from the roots up.
Future
After eleven successful years of music production and 5 co-releases with Warner UK, Ibizarre Records in 2007 decided to take the next step and expand. With new additions to its team and with increased focus on signing new artists their label is now growing at a fast pace. Staying true to its principals Ibizarre Records will continue to sign and produce true musicians and put the focus on them and their music.
