Back in 2000, Pacha, the world's most exclusive nightclub, released their first ever compilation 'Perceptions of Pacha', Farley and Heller did the honours, crafting into 90 minutes what they perceived Pacha - and its sound - to be. Now, five years on, Pacha resident of four years Wally Lopez is set to release the second 'Perceptions of Pacha' compilation. Except this time, things are a little different.
Not only has Lopez mixed onto disk the sound that he perceives to be of Pacha - he has also created each track himself. 'Perceptions of Pacha' is an artist album (both Lopez's and Pacha's debut artist album release) and a DJ mix CD in one. The 12 track album personifies a night at Pacha - from the warm up to the encore - and squeezes it all into only 80 minutes, with Lopez's dark Spanish flavour bridging the gap between the classic Pacha sound and the slightly more cutting edge sound of Pacha 'now' perfectly.
The album includes collaborations with singer SOL and guitarist Chamani on Outside, Ivam from Xperimental Shop on Love Time, Global Room resident Mucho Muchacho MCs on Perreo, Do You Wanna Dance features Beatmaster G and Trompetta features the multi talented (he plays the trumpet as he DJs) and regular Pacha DJ/trumpet player Gordon Edge.

And to make the release a little more special there is also a seven track unmixed bonus remix disk. Seven of dance music's outstanding talents have been chosen by Pacha to remix four of the album's tracks including Pete Tong, the host of Pacha's flagship Friday night party Pure Pacha on Do You Wanna Dance (along with James Talk - under the moniker 'Stump Jumper'), Buick Project AKA Nic Fanciulli and Andy Chatterley on Perreo(vocal and dub versions), Gordon Edge has added his own remix of Trompeta (as well as playing on the track), both Kiko Navarro and Con*fuse (AKA Pacha resident Andy Baxter) have remixed Ole! and two sets of hot Spanish producers Diego Cid-DJ Caro & Jr. Lopez and Julio Navas & David Amo have remixed 'Shake it Like'.

Wally Lopez came to Pacha first as a punter. After his initial visit he proclaimed he would one day play there, before the year was out Lopez was made Pacha resident, playing the main room as regularly as possible and soon came to be represented by Pacha as an artist. Over 200 remixes and productions down the line (including his huge remix of David Guetta's "A Little More Love" and his own releases such as "Patricia Never Leaves The House" on Bugged Out and "Tribute To Acid House" on Underwater), a revered career as a radio host on Spanish radio stations Top Radio and Flaix FM as well as accolades from Pete Tong, Steve Lawler, Erick Morillo and Danny Tenaglia, amongst many, he can now proudly stand as one of dance music's brightest stars and an obvious choice as the follow up to the credible Perceptions of Pacha V.1

So, in short, please welcome Wally Lopez's debut artist album with a twist. Turn on and let Lopez take you through his perceptions of Pacha from inside club's world famous DJ booth, and let him take you down to the middle of the sunken dancefloor to dance with the flamboyant selection of the crowd Pacha attracts - the fun, the famous, the fabulous - close your eyes and you are there...
